Enamel Phoenix Tail Brooch — Blue & Green Phoenix Pin

The phoenix is the queen of all birds in Chinese legend, a creature that appears only in times of peace. We drew this brooch from the moment a phoenix spreads its tail — feathers fanning out, catching the light. The blue version evokes the cold dawn sky; the green, the dense bamboo forest where the phoenix is said to roost. Each feather is filled by hand with enamel glaze, fired, and polished until it has a glass-like sheen. Small crystals catch the light along the feather edges — the phoenix is never quite still.
